About Lisa
Lisa grew up on horse farms in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Florida and fell in love with the art of photography right out of high school. "I always felt that I was seeing the world in a whole different view - almost as though I were looking through the view finder of a camera. I would catch myself turning my head a certain way and saying, wow that looks really cool when you stand like this! So I began shooting."
After graduating from North Allegheny High School, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Lisa spent time as a working student for Equestrian Olympic Medalists Karen and David O'Connor in Middleburg, Virginia. During that time, she combined her interest in photography with her passion for horses. The following year she enrolled in the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, furthering her photography education, while continuing to ride and train her horses.
Lisa is currently an equestrian, training with the O'Connors in the hopes of making it to the Olympic Games herself one day. Photography has also become a major part of her life..."My camera allows me to capture the unique and usually unseen parts of my everyday life. I love being able to show people how I see my world, and my camera is always with me as I capture memorable moments in time."
Lisa's photographs have been published in major US and International equestrian publications. She has also done photography for corporate branding, advertising materials, and product promotion. |
